    Exactly the same ratio as that between a sphere and a cube have a side of the same length as the diameter of the sphere.
    The ratio is : 4/3 x pi x r x r divided by d x d x d.

    hmm. i don’t quite understand how three balls can fit snugly in a box but think of it this way, if you have one golf ball that fits snugly in a square box then one half of the box is occupied :)
